China Travel Company recommends the travel
insurance scheme arranged by Endsleigh Insurance Services. We strongly
recommend this policy to all our travellers as it offers an excellent
level of cover and is provided by a company that is well known and highly
respected in the field of worldwide travel. As can be seen below, the
policy gives cover for cancellation, repatriation and luggage as well as
full medical cover.
Please indicate at the time of booking that you
would like us to arrange cover for you. You are, of course, at liberty to
make alternative travel insurance arrangements, but we recommend that you
ensure that your cover is at least equal to our recommended
policy.
Under the Association of British Insurers General Business
Code of Practice, your attention is drawn to the following important
features of the travel insurance policy.
HEALTH
The policy contains restrictions regarding pre-existing medical
conditions concerning the health of the people travelling. You are
advised to read the policy carefully.
POLICY DOCUMENT
This contains full details of the cover provided plus the conditions
and exclusions. Cover varies from policy to policy and insurer to
insurer. You should read the insurance policy very carefully.
CONDITIONS, EXCLUSIONS & WACRANTIES
There are conditions and exclusions which apply to individual
sections, as well as conditions and exclusions which apply to the whole
policy.
CLAIMS
Your insurance policy will contain details of the claims procedure,
which you should follow in the event of wishing to make a claim.
POLICY LIMITS
Most sections of your policy have limits on the amount the insurer
will pay. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example
for any one item or for valuables in total. You are advised to check
your policy if you intend to take expensive items with you.
POLICY EXCESSES
Claims will be subject to an excess. This means that you will be
responsible for paying the first part of the claim.
REASONABLE CARE
You need to take all reasonable care to protect you and your
property.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Your insurance policy will contain information about what steps you
can take if you wish to make a complaint. |

The first £40 of any claim is
excluded from the policy. Premiums for those over 65 are double the amounts
shown below.
This policy is governed by English Law
and Endsleigh are members of the Association of British Insurers and
Insurance Ombudsman Scheme. They are an independent intermediary regulated
by the GISC and fully comply with its provisions.
